## About This Program

This is not an EPA enforcement action, not a claim that water is unsafe, and not an allegation that any organization did anything wrong. Many water systems have invested heavily to protect their communities. The question is whether those costs may now be recoverable through the national PFAS settlement.

## Who Qualifies

Public Water Systems, Water Authorities, Water Districts, Wastewater Systems, Cities & Counties, Airports, Landfills, Fire Departments, Fire Training Facilities, Public Utilities, and Private Utilities may qualify if they have incurred costs related to PFAS monitoring, testing, treatment, or infrastructure.

## The Deadline

**July 31, 2026** — Systems that do not participate before this deadline may lose the opportunity to participate in the current national water settlement.

## Individual Health Claims (AFFF MDL #2873)

Individuals who were exposed to PFAS-contaminated drinking water and developed qualifying health conditions may have a claim in the South Carolina Federal Court AFFF MDL #2873. Qualifying conditions include: Kidney Cancer, Liver Cancer, Testicular Cancer, Thyroid Cancer, Thyroid Disease, Pregnancy-Induced Hypertension, Ulcerative Colitis, and High Cholesterol.
